PET ODORS

The solution is to thoroughly soak the soiled area with Odorcide. Odorcide will eliminate odors regardless of how long it’s been or even after all sorts of other remedies have been tried. (Odorcide will work where enzyme-based products won’t. Enzyme products are not compatible with detergents and germicides and usually there will be a residue of one or both in the carpet from earlier treatments).
Odorcide can be used at any stage of your cleaning process:
*Pre-treatment – saturate an area at the 16:1 ration making sure that it reaches as far and as deep as the pet urine.
*Cleaning chemicals – add Odorcide directly into your cleaning products to eliminate odor as you clean (typically at less than the 16:1 dilution).
*Rinse – add Odorcide to your rinse tank to provide a general deodorizing step in the process (typically at less than the 16:1 dilution)
*Post-treatment – using a pressure sprayer, apply a light overspray to leave the carpet smelling fresh & clean.

RECOMMENDED PRODUCTS – Odorcide Original, Fresh Scent or Ox-Erase™

Fogging – use a wet mist (tri-jet or ULV) fogger at a concentration of 2-4 oz per gallon of water. Duration and concentration depends on the severity of the odor. Further circulate the Odorcide using fans on low or medium settings.
Spraying or Wiping – use a trigger spray bottle or pressure sprayer to treat areas that are more difficult to get to such as, vents, air returns, filters, cracks or crevices. For maximum coverage Odorcide is safe to mix in a bucket and wipe on the walls or other hard surfaces.
RECOMMENDED PRODUCTS – Odorcide Smoke Brake
Auto Detailing – A thorough application of Odorcide is necessary to treat all affected areas in the vehicle. The smoke odor is difficult to treat because it can get back into the vents and up under the seating components. A dilution of 2-4 oz per gallon of water is recommended along with using a ULV fogger and/or sprayer applications.
RECOMMENDED PRODUCTS – Odorcide Smoke Brake

Pre-treatment – for heavily contaminated items, simply add ½ oz of Odorcide to the water and soak prior to washing.
Standard Wash Cycle – Odorcide can be added directly with the detergent or during the auto-soak cycle. Odorcide is an additive, not a detergent, but is safe to use with cleaning products and fabric softeners. For optimal performance, use Odorcide every time you wash at these concentrations:
Light odor loads – Add ¼ oz
Moderate odor loads – Add ½ oz
Heavy odor loads – Add 1 oz
RECOMMENDED PRODUCTS – Odorcide Laundry

Fogging – use a wet mist (tri-jet or ULV) fogger at a concentration of 2-4 oz per gallon of water. Duration and concentration depends on the severity of the odor. Further circulate the Odorcide using fans on low or medium settings.
Saturating – mix Odorcide in a bucket at the recommended concentration and either pour or wipe on surfaces to insure maximum coverage.
Spraying – use a trigger spray bottle or pressure sprayer to treat areas that are more difficult to get to such as, vents, air returns, filters, cracks or crevices.
Odorcide can be used in conjunction with bactericides or fungicides to eliminate the resulting odors without affecting the capabilities of either product.
RECOMMENDED PRODUCTS – Odorcide Pro Renewal
Fire Damage – Smoke damage from fire can be difficult to remove because it can affect every surface in the structure. Extensive drying, cleaning and deodorizing are usually needed to restore the structure to safe conditions. Odorcide comes as a concentrate, is diluted with water and is applied using wet mist foggers or sprayers.
Recommended concentrations:
Charred, heavily burned surfaces – 8 oz of concentrate per gallon of water
General smoke residue – 2-4 oz of concentrate per gallon of water
Fogging – use a wet mist (tri-jet or ULV) fogger containing the recommended dilution of Odorcide. Duration and concentration depends on the severity of the odor. Close all windows and doors and remove all items such as drapes, rugs, furniture, etc. Further circulate the Odorcide using fans on low or medium settings.
Sprayer – mix Odorcide at the recommended concentration and apply to surfaces affected by the smoke odor. Absorbent cloth or fabric must be saturated to insure the Odorcide reaches the source of the odor. Items can be air dried or fans/blowers can be used to accelerate the process.
In most situations, Odorcide should be sprayed into the vents and air intakes of the area to assist removing the smoke odor from the heating/cooling system. The system should be turned on after spraying and during the fogging operation.
RECOMMENDED PRODUCTS – Odorcide Pro Renewal

Hard, non-porous surfaces – use 1-2 oz per gallon of water or cleaning solution and mix in a spray bottle or mop bucket. Spray or wipe on porcelain or tile fixtures and allow to air dry. Mop the floor at the recommended concentration and allow product to soak into the grout for increased effectiveness. Once odor is under control, the concentration can be reduced due to the residual activity of the Odorcide. Re-soiling or repeat cleaning with moisture reactivates the product.
Fabrics or Upholstery – use 1-2 oz per gallon of water mixed in a spray bottle or bucket. Soaking or saturating spray methods are recommended to insure the Odorcide reaches all the odor sources. Allow to air dry or expedite drying by using fans or blowers.
For heavy odors and/or initial applications, use 2 oz per gallon of water or cleaning solutions. For milder odors and repeat applications, use 1 oz per gallon of water or cleaning solution.
RECOMMENDED PRODUCTS – Odorcide Original or Fresh Scent

For stinky drains use Odorcide at the 4 oz dilution rate initially then drop the concentration for repeat treatments.
RECOMMENDED PRODUCTS – Odorcide Fresh Scent
Crime or Trauma Scene Cleanup – Organic decomposition can be extremely offensive and very difficult to eliminate. Odorcide works through a process of counteraction and absorption to safely, but effectively, eliminate the malodor. Using an 8 oz per gallon of water or cleaning solution ratio, apply by pressure sprayer, fogger or simply mix in a bucket and wipe on surfaces.
Severe odor situations may require a stronger dilution ratio of 1:1 or zero dilution may be needed for extreme odor situations.
RECOMMENDED PRODUCTS – Odorcide Original
Marijuana – The smell of marijuana is easily recognized, and the odor from marijuana can quickly accumulate on carpet fibers, walls, ceilings and other surfaces. Odorcide works through a process of counteraction and chemical absorption to safely but effectively eliminate the odor, regardless of if it’s in a small or large area.
RECOMMENDED PRODUCTS – Odorcide Smoke Brake
Stains and Odors – Ox-Erase™ Stain and Odor Remover uses Odorcide’s proven proprietary odor elimination technology combined with stain removing oxidizers for pet urine, blood, coffee, feces, vomit and other organic stains that works with little or no dwell time. All Thornell products use a combination of counteraction, bonding (chemisorption) and absorption to eliminate odors.
